Commissioned by the GVSU Piano Studios for the 2017 20th/21st-Century Piano Festival

Inspired by a visit to the Ford truck assembly plant in Dearborn, Michigan, this work is a collection of five miniature "machines". Through carefully constructed interlocking parts and gestures, each movement is an energy-filled study of musical mechanisms.
